An Unreal Engine 5 concept video shows fans what a potential Assassin’s Creed game could look like in feudal Japan.
The Assassin’s Creed The franchise has taken fans to times and places all over the world, from Renaissance Italy to Ancient Egypt to Colonial America and more. However, there has always been one place in particular that fans of the Assassin’s Creed franchise have wanted to see that has yet to be explored in a main series game, and it’s feudal Japan. Ubisoft has not announced any plans to make a Assassin’s Creed game set in Japan, but a recently released video gives fans an idea of what such a game could look like.
YouTuber TeaserPlay has uploaded a video that shows what a Assassin’s Creed game set in 1333 Japan would be, built using Unreal Engine 5. The idea of the video is simple, and it’s showing what a Assassin’s Creed the game could look like using next-gen graphics and tools like Unreal Engine 5’s nanite and lumen features. The video shows an assassin exploring city streets, perching on rooftops and ending by a photo of a vast mountainous landscape.
Although this is just a concept video, it strives to mimic the HUD of a Assassin’s Creed Game. Lower right corner contains icons for unnamed people Assassin’s Creed assassin to perform various functions, while their health bar is located on the opposite side of the screen. The top of the screen features a compass with various icons on it, pointing the assassin to missions and secondary content. It’s an impressive video, and it may make fans even more hungry for a main series. Assassin’s Creed Game set in Japan.
The title of the video is a nod to Assassin’s Creed Infinity project announced by Ubisoft last year. Although there aren’t many official details, we do know that Assassin’s Creed Infinity will be a live game that will focus on several periods. It is certainly within the realm of the possible Assassin’s Creed Infinity could be the game that takes players to feudal Japan, but that remains to be seen.
Assassin’s Creed Infinity is not the only novelty Assassin’s Creed game which is in preparation. Reports say that a new main series game called Assassin’s Creed Rift is also in development. Assassin’s Creed Rift is meant to be smaller than other recent entries in the main series, and in some ways will be a return to the roots of the franchise by putting the emphasis on stealth action back over RPG elements. It will supposedly be about Basim Ibn Ishaq and will serve as a prequel to Assassin’s Creed Valhallabut fans will have to wait for Ubisoft to share more information to be sure.
