A car engine can overheat due to a faulty cooling system, leak, dirty radiator, faulty water pump or fan.

Charles Ssemukuutu says “cold water doesn’t work” but recommends hot water.

He explains that when water is warm, it is less dense than cold water.

“Hot water is supposed to stabilize and be cold. He advises the use of hot water because it is not at a low temperature,” he explains.

Ssemukuutu also adds that water is a corrosion agent. Even though lately there are more aluminum engines, there are still points where we find the need for steel which tends to corrode.

“Aluminum doesn’t rust, but the parts that come with the aluminum – those little steel and cast iron plugs tend to rust, causing the oil to mix with the water,” he explains. he.

Cast iron also expands rapidly when heated, and since the pistons are aluminum, they expand if the engine is run at high temperatures, developing cracks.

The heat also burns gaskets and cracks cylinder heads.
